Slab Cracking Liability Waiver & Authorization

The customer named below ("Customer") is voluntarily requesting that Flaring Lair ("Flaring Lair", "we", "us") remove one or more trading cards from their professionally graded encapsulation ("slab cracking"). The Customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms below before any work is performed.

1. Voluntary Request. The Customer is freely instructing Flaring Lair to crack the slab(s) listed in this form. No work will begin until this form is signed.
2. Reasonable Care. Flaring Lair will exercise reasonable care and use industry-standard techniques to remove the card(s) from the slab without damage.
3. No Liability for Damage. The Customer acknowledges that slab cracking carries inherent risk and that the card may be scratched, dented, indented, creased, bent, surface-damaged, edge- or corner-damaged, or destroyed during removal. Flaring Lair shall not be liable for any such damage, loss of value, or destruction of the card, in whole or in part, however caused, including damage arising from ordinary negligence.
4. Loss of Grade & Value. Once a slab is opened, the original grade and certification are void. The Customer understands that the market value of the card may drop significantly and that Flaring Lair makes no representation as to the post-crack condition or value of the card.
5. Authenticity & Ownership. The Customer represents that they are the lawful owner of, or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of, the card(s) listed below, and that the card(s) are not stolen, encumbered, or the subject of any dispute.
6. No Insurance. Cards being cracked are not insured by Flaring Lair against damage or loss in transit, in store, or during the cracking process.
7. Service Final. Slab cracking is a final, non-refundable service. Any service fee paid is non-refundable regardless of the post-crack condition of the card.
8. Release. The Customer, on behalf of themselves and their heirs, successors, and assigns, hereby releases, waives, and forever discharges Flaring Lair and its owners, employees, and agents from any and all claims, demands, damages, costs, or causes of action of any kind arising out of or related to the slab cracking of the card(s) listed in this form.
9. Entire Agreement. This form constitutes the entire agreement between the Customer and Flaring Lair with respect to the slab cracking service requested herein, and supersedes any prior verbal or written statements.
